The Level 2 in Health and Social Care has been designed to give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques required to develop the personal skills and attributes essential for success in the care sector. Enrolling on the Level 2 in Health and Social Care provides the opportunity to achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 vocationally specific qualification. A portfolio of evidence will be required to achieve the NVQ, this will include work based evidence and written/ verbal statements relating to the qualification criteria.

Course content
• Level 2 QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) for England • Functional Skills in Maths and English. • Employee Rights & Responsibilities
Programme delivery
• One monthly work-based assessment for each unit. • Workshops to facilitate learning. • Tutorial support is available to you at all times. • 24 hour online support for Maths and English.

Health and Social Care LEVEL 3

Programme Outline
This course is suitable for senior care assistants, support workers, key workers in residential, community and primary care environments, domiciliary services, day services and other similar roles. Learners must accrue at least 58 Credits to complete this course, of which you will undertake 9 mandatory units. It enables participants to develop and maintain skills needed to be successful in their professional life. Completion of this qualification can lead to undertaking a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management.
Course content
• Level 3 QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) for England • Functional Skills in Maths and English. • Employee Rights & Responsibilities • A portfolio of evidence to achieve the NVQ, this will consist of
observations, discussions, questioning, witness statements, reflective learning journals and others.

Programme delivery
• Work-based assessment throughout the course. • Workshops to facilitate learning, which is adjustable based on the needs
of individual learners, for instance dyslexia or a physical disability. • Tutorial support is available to you at all times.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health, Social Care and Children and Young People's Services

Programme Outline
The level 5 Diploma is the recommended qualification for managers and senior practitioners in the Health, Social and Children and Young People's Services sector. The qualification is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you require to work in a senior or management role and offers a range of subject areas appropriate to your own particular role.
You have a choice of pathways for which there are mandatory units such as developing professional development, risk management, safeguarding, communication, leading and managing a team, developing supervision practice, assessing the individual in a care setting and others.

The teaching and learning of the Diploma is by way of mentoring, group discussion, observation and practising in the workplace, as well as classroom based learning. You will use real world problem solving, engagement in everyday work activities, reflective practice, assignments, questioning and feedback to develop your skills and knowledge. This will help to identify issues that are relevant to your own professional performance and development and help you achieve the qualification.
The qualification is funded through Higher (Adult) Apprenticeships.

Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (QCF) Are you working, or interested in working in childcare?
If so, the Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce would be ideal for you. This course will allow you to gain and develop your skills as a childcare worker for children ages 0-16 years. You will be required to complete a placement in childcare settings, which will help you gain valuable practical experience.

Learners must complete a minimum of 31 credits which will be through 4 mandatory units. Topics include:
• Client care & communication in beauty-related industries • Laser & light treatments for hair removal • Laser & light treatments for skin rejuvenation • Management of health, safety and security in the salon
You will produce a portfolio of evidence, consisting of assignments, observations, discussions and witness statements
This short course is specifically designed for beauty therapists. This course will help beauticians further their career for specialising in reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin.

Learners must complete a minimum of 43 credits which will be through 6 mandatory units.
• Promote and sell products and services to clients • Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon • Cut women's hair to create a variety of looks • Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques • Colour hair to create a variety of looks • Hairdressing consultation support for colleagues.
You will produce a portfolio of evidence, consisting of assignments, observations, discussions and witness statements
